Heal Up Launches Platform to Enhance Mental Support for Refugees

The Heal Up project, an Erasmus+ initiative, has unveiled its digital platform and app designed to enhance the capacities of professionals in the psychology sector. With collaborative efforts from partners in Belgium, Norway, and Poland, this project responds to the critical need for effective psychological support for refugees and asylum seekers in Europe.

The project's objectives included a deep dive into the unique needs and characteristics of digital transition within the psychological counseling industry. Best practices were meticulously explored to serve as guiding principles. The initiative also aimed to establish a robust network, connecting experts and professionals across the expansive field of psychology. This network acts as a hub for sharing valuable insights, experiences, and innovative strategies. Additionally, the project focused on creating essential tools tailored to the specific requirements of psychology professionals.

A meticulously curated international network was formed, uniting professionals from various organizations across different countries. This network played a pivotal role in ensuring refugees have access to crucial mental health resources. Central to the initiative is a comprehensive guide crafted for both seasoned psychology professionals and aspiring candidates. Covering everything from conducting front-line interviews with refugees to adeptly managing pre-traumatic and post-traumatic challenges and symptoms, this guide is an invaluable resource.
